The Authorities had today (10)taken steps to close down the Colombo-Kandy Main road from Lower(Pahala) Kadugannawa area due to the possibility of occurring earth slips .Accordingly the Road had been closed from 10 p.m today Kegalle District Secretariat has stated .
This step had been taken after a team of Specialists attached to University Of Peradeniya had shown that there's a Possibility of earth slips in the area .
Police have advised the Motorists to use an alternative routes when travelling .
