Around 25 persons had died and little more than 212,000 had been affected as a result of floods ,earth slips ,wind and storms occurred caused by heavy showers prevailing in most parts of the Island during last few days according to Disaster Management Center.
By this evening little more than 50,150 persons in 17 districts had been displaced and located in safe places else in relatives houses .
The most affected area is Puttalam District the Center has stated .
