Local Swiss Embassy visa officer
Garnier Banister Francis who alleged as abducted by a group of an unifentified persons on 25 th of November in Colombo ,had been arrested and remanded until 30 th of December after been produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne this evening (16).
The Visa officer was asked to be appeared before the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) this morning to record a further statememt regarding her allegation over abduction .
she had been sent to National Institute of Mental Health at Angoda for a Mental status checkup after appearing before the CID and later brought back to the CID .
However the results of the checkup has not yet been revealed and later the Visa officer had been arrested by the CID on the instructions of Attorney General who had stated that the Visa officer had make a fabricated story on her abduction .
However it has not been clear what are the real allegations made against the swiss embassy visa office which lead to her arrest and imprisonment .
