The SoldIer Who Had Shot And Killed A Person Who Went To Pick Up A Sick Child Handed Over To Bussa Commander

The Army Soldier who had shot and
killed a 39 year old father who had gone to Upananda Collage at  Manawila,Akmeemana (Southern Province ) to pick one of his children  who fell sick ,in front of the school  had been  handed over to Bussa Army Commander of the 581st Rank according to Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare.

The soldier who was on duty Infront of the school at the time of the incident had been arrested by the police after the incident and handed over to the commander after being produced before Galle Magistrate Court today .

Magistrate has given permission to keep him under detention until  receiving Advise of Attorney General as the case coming under the Emergancy regulations .

The soldier has told the authorities that he had the shot the parent who was a former Navy soldier as he had refused to.provide his identity details and attempting to snatch his firearm .

A School teacher had informed the deceased to come and pick up his kid as he was sick it has been revealed

The Investigations over the incident is being conducted by the Assistant Superintendent Of Police.Army is also conducting a separate inquiry over the incident.
