A person was killed and three others
including a 7 year old child had been injured and hospitalized after the
Motor Car they were travelling in colliding with a "Sagarika "Train travelling from Colombo to Galle last night (27) at a railway crossing in Saranajothi road,Dodanduwa in Hikkaduwa.
The four injured persons had been admitted to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital where one of them had succumbed to his injuries after admission.
The incident occurred when the Motor Car had attempted to cross the railway crossing it has been revealed.
Train services in coastal railway line had been disrupted for few hours due to the incident .
Hikkaduwa police are conducting an investigations over the incident.
