As the United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) and
it's allied party Sri Lanka Freedom Party failed to show Parliamentary Majority to form a new government ,Both Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe and President Maithripala Sirisena have decided to form A United National Party led government it has been reported today (19).
A section of the UPFA will join the new UNP led government and the rest will be seated in opposition according to reports.
Sri Lanka Freedom Party MP's who met with President Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariet today had decided to continue the current National government with UNP according to Minister S.B Dissanayake.Earlier they have decided to form a new government with the help of Joint opposition group.
Meanwhile the Cabinet reshuffle will be taken place on this Wednesday according to sources.Earlier it has been announced that during the reshuffle Cabinet will be restricted to 30 members.
