The Chief Minister of Uva Province Chamara Sampath Dassanayake had been surrendered to the Badulle Police this noon(23) through his lawyer over the charges leveled against him on forcing the female principal of Badulle Tamil Girl's School to kneeling down at his feet .
After produced before the Badulle Magistrate Court the Uva Province Chief Minister was released on a personal bail of Rs.200,000.
The Chief Minister who had earlier announced that he will step down from the Education Minister post which he holds in the Provincial council until the investigations over the incident concluded had been surrendered to the Police today.
