Two Petty Officers Had Been Arrested And Remanded Over Abduction And Disappearence Of 11 Youth In Colombo

Two Petty Officers attached to Sri Lanka Navy who had been arrested by the Criminal
Investigations Department (CID) yesterday (14) over their involvement of abduction and disappearance of 11 youths in Colombo during 2008-2009 period had been remanded until 28th of December by the Acting Colombo Fort Magistrate last evening .

The two petty officers ,Prasad Sanjeeva Senaratne and "Annachi "(Nick Name) had been arrested by the CID over the abduction and Disappearance of 11 youth between 08th of August and 17th of September 2008 at several places including Wellawatte,Kotahena ,Trincomalee and Batticaloa .A Complaint was made regarding this incident to the CID by former Navy Commander.

The two suspects had been remanded after being produced before the Acting Magistrate in Colombo Fort Dimani Baddewela.They were ordered to produced for an identification parade on 28th of December by the Acting Magistrate.
