Due to the overflowing of Kadupity Oya (River) to the road as a result of the heavy showers prevailing ,authorities in Mahawewa Provincial secretariat had taken steps to direct the overflowing water to the Sea through Thalwila it has been reported.Due to this situation the overflown water of the Oya has been receding and a traffic congestion occurred in sea route from Wennappuwa to Chilaw .
As the Authorities are continuously delaying the building of a bridge near the Oya the overflowing is occurring every time when there are heavy showers the residents have stated.
