Twenty Four Persons Arrested Over The Violent Activities In Kandy Were Remanded

Twenty Four Persons arrested over involving in violent activities at Theldeniya and Diganaareas of Kandy District have been remanded until 19th of March by the Theldeniya Magistrate Court after they were produced before the Court today(06).

The arrested persons were charged over burning and damaging properties including Trade stalls and a religious center yesterday.They were arrested and held at Pallekale and Manikhinna Police stations until produced before the court today.

Army Personal are being deployed in and around the Kandy City to prevent further violent activities and to protect state properties it has been reported.
