Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has yesterday (05)instructed the Director General Of Health Services Dr.Anil Jasinghe to prepare a Cabinet Memorandum suggesting to remove VAT Tax from all Health Services for the benefit of Patients in Sri Lanka according to the Ministry Of Health.Health Minister has instructed Dr.Jasinghe on this during a meeting held with representatives of Private Hospital Association at Ministry of Health yesterday.The representatives of the Private Hospitals Association had shown the Minister that the Patients are facing enormous difficulties due to adding VAT To the Hospital services they received from the Private Health Sector and stressed the need to remove these Taxes.
