SLFP Still Not Able To Prove Their Majority To Form A New Government -Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe Has Stated He Is Still The Prime Minister

As the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP)lead by

President Maithripala Sirisena not able to show their majority in Parliament by yesterday (16)as earlier stated ,Prime Ministe Ranil Wikramasinghe has announced that as per the Constitution he is still the Prime Minister of the country with a majority of members in Parliament .

The national government will continue until 2020 and the ruling United National Party will implement speedy reforms in the party including building new leadership for the Party Prime Minister has stated during a special media briefing held at Temple Trees in Colombo last evening (16).

Ruling UNP will accept the warning given by the voters  during the recently cincluded local government elections and government will act according to it he has  stressed.

UNP is preparing to reshuffle the cabinet Prime Minister has stated.

Meanwhile President Maithripala Sirisena had cancelled the his scheduled nation to the speech and meeting with the heads of the  media institutions scheduled to be held yesterday (16)over the current political  crisis.President's party SLFP had stated earlier by last evening it will prove their majority in the Parliament and make the foundation to form a new government under the premiership of Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva.Joint opposition group representing Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna lead by former president Mahinda Rajapakshe convey their unconditional support to a SLFP government.
