The acting Grama Sewa Officer in Bambalapitiya and
his assistant who were arrested by the Bribery Commission officials yesterday (23)over accepting a Rs.20,000 as a bribe to enter a person's name to a electoral register had been remanded until 07th of November by the Colombo Chief Magistrate today (24).
Acvordingly the acting Grama Sewa Officer Chandana Bandara Ekanayake and his assistant Rengasamy Chandrakumara have been remanded after being produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe Bandara.
