Transport activities have been disrupted in Pinkenda area on Nivithigala-Kalawana road (Ratnapura)due to a landslide occurred on this morning(16) in the area.Due to the landslide whole road has been blocked since 5 a.m this morning and Police have advised the motorists to use an alternative routes due to this.No casualties have been reported due to the incident.
National Building Research Organization (NBRO) had issued landslide warnings to six districts including Ratnapura yesterday(15) due to the heavy showers prevailing in.
