Transport between Galanigama and Dodandgama of the Southern Expressway has been disrupted due to the floods it has been reported.A section of the Southern Expressway between Galanigama and Dodangama is being submerged and the water level there is increasing according to the reports.
Authorities have advised the drivers of light vehicles arriving from Matarra to use welipanna inter exchange to exit due to this situation.
Due to the floods the Road Development Authority has imposed restrictions for motorists when departing through several exit points of the Southern Expressway.
Earlier authorities had requested the motorists to control the speed of their vehicles due to the submerged areas of the Southern Expressway.
