There's No Shortage Of The Drug"Tamiflu" Prescribed For Influenza Patients In Government Hospitals As Stated By GMOA-Director General Of Health Services

Image result for tamifluThere is no shortage of the drug "Tamiflu" (Oseltamivir)prescribed for Influenza A and B flu in government hospitals at present as stated by Government Medical Officers Association(GMOA) according to the acting Director General Of Health Services Dr.Jayasundara Bandara.

Although GMOA officials had stated during a press briefing held at their office in Colombo yesterday(17) that the drug "Tamiflu" prescribed for Dengue,Viral Flu and Influenza is currently out of stock in government hospitals at present the drug only prescribed for Influenza A and B types in special instances under a recommendation of a Medical Consultant Dr.Bandara has stated.

"Tamiflu" drug already distributed as per the requests made by government hospitals and there's no such shortage of the drug as claimed by GMOA he has further stated.

"Tamiflu"drug distributing to hospitals under the inspection of Epidemiology Unit the Health Ministry has said.
