Police have recovered around 21 old land mines used by LTTE rebels during the war period , hidden inside a hollow area of a tree trunk in Monaragala-Athimale-Thrikonagala ,Yala reserve area yesterday(30).Athimale Police have recovered these land mines as per a tip received by the Police .Police have also recovered a box containing 750 live bullets (T-56 variety ) inside the tree trunk.
