Galle Magistrate Court has today (25) released the
controversial "MT Avant Guarde" ship taken into custody for maintaining a floating armory while anchored at Galle Harbour on Rs.35 million bond.
The ship was released on bond to the Ceylon Shipping Corporation it has been stated.
The ship was taken into custody by the Sri Lanka Navy in October last year (2015) following the officials of Criminal Investigations Department (CID)had boarded the "MT Avant Guarde" Ship to inspect it as per the court order issued by Galle Magistrate Court on 17th of October 2015.
