The Airport Customs Officers have arrested two Sri Lankans this morning (17) belonging to a same family while attempting to smuggle 381 Cigarette Cartons to Sri Lanka illegally at Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport.The two suspects arrived from Dubai had been arrested while attempting to smuggle the stock of illegal Cigarette Cartons worth around Rs.3.2 million by carrying a three year old child it has been reported.
The Suspects who are 29 and 32 years old hidden Cigarette Cartons in six of their luggage according to the Airport Customs officers.The suspectsreturned to the country after employed in Dubai for three years it has been revealed.
