The officers attached to the Anti Fraud Unit of Kandy Police had arrested twelve persons on charges of selling and being in possession of narcotics at Katugasthota Area today (02).The Police Officers had also taken into custody more than 200 packettes of narcotics in the possession of the suspects.
There are two persons issued with summons among the suspects and after being produced before the Kandy Magistrate Court those two had been remanded until 14th of October and other ten suspects were released on bail it has been reported.
The Ani Fraud Unit of the Kandy Police ate investigating on the incident.
