Five Persons including former United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA) MP Duminda Silva were sentenced to death by Colombo High Court this morning over the shooting and killing of four persons including former UPFA MP and President's Adviser Bharatha Lakshman Premachandre at Mulleriyawa(In Colombo)on 08th of October 2011.Accordingly Former MP Duminda Silva,Chaminda Ravi Jayanath allias "Dematagoda Chaminda",Sarath Bandara,Priyantha Janaka Bandara and Anura Thushara De Mel were sentenced to death by the High Court today.However the sentenced suspect Priyantha Janaka Bandara is still missing according to reports.
All together 13 persons were charged over the shooting and killing of four persons at Mulleriyawa on 2011 .
The case was heard with trial at bar comprising High Court Judges Pathmini Ranwake,Shiran Gunaratne and C.B.S Moraias.
