Senior Deputy Inspector General Of Police(DIG) Anura Senanayake and former Crimes OIC of Narahenpita Police Sumith Perera who were detained and remanded over the murder of former Sri Lankan Rugby Player Wasim Thajudeen have been further remanded by the Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Pieris today(24) until 07th of September .The two suspects have been further remanded after they are being produced before the Magistrate Court today.
When the case on Thajudeen's murder was taken into consideration today at the Colombo Magistrate Court the government lawyer has informed the court that further investigations are underway on CCTV footage and telephone calls taken attached to the murder .
Former Sri Lankan Rugby Player Wasim Thajudeen was murdered in May 2012 and it was earlier considered by the authorities as a death occurred due to an accident.
