The former Minister Basil Rajapaskhe who was detained and remanded over misappropriation of state funds to distribute supplying materials to District Councils has been further remanded until 08th of August by the Kaduwela Magistrate Court this morning .He was further remanded after being produced before the Magistrate Court this morning.
The former Minister Of Economic Development has been detained by the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Department (FCID) on 18th of July after recorded a statement from him regarding the allegation and later remanded him until 01st of August.
A day after got remanded he has been transferred to the Merchants Ward in Colombo National Hospital with the approval of a Prison Hospital doctor as he complained on a chest pain.
