MP Namal Rajapakshe Has Been Detained By FCID

Parliamentarian  and former president Mahinda Rajapakshe's eldest son Namal Rajapakshe has been detained by Police Crimes Financial Investigation Division(FCID) short while ago over a financial irregularity filed against him.

MP Rajapakshe was detained after he has given a statement to FCID regarding the irregularity.He is due to be produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate this evening.

MP Namal Rajapakshe's uncle former Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapakshe too arrived at FCID this morning to give a statement regarding allegation leveled against him.
