During first six months of this year from January to May 135 HIV /AIDSPositives have been detected from the island according to director of National Sexually Transmitted Diseases.AIDS Control Programme Dr.Sisira Liyanage.The majority of these HIV Positives were males of the age group 25-45 Dr.Liyanage has stressed.
The spreading of HIV/AIDS Virus among persons who sexually contacted sex workers and male to male sexual contacts are on the increase in the country he has further stated.
