Kiribathgoda Police have today(06) arrested another two students attached to Kelaniya University regarding severely ragging a new female student of the University and both students along with five other students of the same university detained yesterday(05) over the case have been remanded until 17th of May by the Mahara Magistrate.Two students who were arrested today have surrendered to the Police it has been reported.
The all seven Kelaniya University Students detained over the ragging case were produced before Mahara Magistrate Court this morning.
The above mentioned University Students were detained according to a complaint filed at police by a new female student attached to Kelaniya University by stating the suspect students severely ragged over wearing a long trouser to the university.
The senior female students of the kelaniya university have prohibited first year female students from wearing long trousers for the university for one year period.The new female university student was subjected for ragging due to ignoring this instruction.
