The Colombo Chief Magistrate has today(27) ordered the Criminal Investigations Department(CID) to speedup the ongoing investigation on Shashi Weerasinghe the wife of the leader of National Freedom Front MP Wimal Weerawanshe regarding obtaining a diplomatic passport by providing false documents.The order was issued when the case filed against Shashi Weerawansha was taken up for hearing today(27).
The case was postponed until 28th of September and chief magistrate has ordered CID to submit a report on the progress of the investigation on that date.
