The Minister Of Fisheries And Aquatic Resources Mahinda Amaraweera has been appointed as the new General Secretary of United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA).He has filled the vacancy created in General Secretary Post of UPFA due to the death of former General Secretary Professor Vishwa Warnapala.
President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed Minister Amaraweera as the new General Secretary of UPFA during a party meeting held today(08).
