A Draft Bill on Regulating Massage Centers/SPA'S situated throughout the island has been submitted to Legal Draftsman Department for approval according to Director General Of Health Services Dr.Palitha Mahipala,After getting approval from the Legal Draftsman Department the Draft Bill will be presented to Parliament and get approved Dr.Mahipala has stated.
Afterwards the act on Regulating Massage Centers/SPA'S will be implemented with a regulating mechanism he has stressed.
The Ministry Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine has decided to prepare the Draft Bill after Some Ayurveda Doctors as well as other people have complained to the Ministry that some massage centers/SPA'S are using the name "Ayurveda" illegally and some centers are functioning as brothels Dr.Mahipala has said.
He has revealed these details during a press briefing held at Health Education Bureau this morning.
