Sri Lankan Government Will Protect It's Security Personal When Facing The Proposed Investigations On Human Rights Violations-President Maithripala Sirisena

The Sri Lankan Government will protect it's Security Personal when facing the proposed investigations on alleged Human Right Violations occurred during the final phase of Civil War between Government Forces and LTTE Rebels , President Maithripala Sirisena has vowed during his speech delivered at the Sri Lanka's 68th National Independence Day Celebrations held at Galle Face Green last morning.

The Sri Lankan Government will face the Investigations while protecting the integrity of the nation and Security Forces President has stressed.

As Sri Lanka celebrates the gaining of Independence we should give all the honor and respect to the members of Sri Lankan Security Forces who made great sacrifices to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Sri Lanka at the battle against terrorism President has said.

"Our Foreign Policy is a middle path one comprising the commitment to justice and humanity.The Good Governance Government has won many friends in the international community who are willing to help us our march towards prosperity.after came to power the government had commenced a new drive for development of which much remained to be done.Good Governance Government has able to restore democracy,the good governance and rule of law and a truly meaningful parliamentary system in keeping with the mandate given by the people one year ago" President has stressed.

"Let us pledge to consolidate on peace and freedom achieved and build this future for our land and people" President has further said.
