Eight Dengue Deaths have been reported during the Month of January according to Director General Of Health Services Dr.Palitha Mahipala .According to the latest statistics available at Epidemiology Unit around 5000 Dengue Patients have been reported from the island during January Dr.Mahipala has said.
The Ministry Of Health,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine has decided to launch a special National Dengue Control Week from 29th of March to 04th Of April in view of preventing the spreading of Dengue during the season .
