The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has launched a series of raids to check whether the local traders are implementing the price reductions of commodities introduced through 2016- Annual Budget presented to Parliament on last Friday.The Prices of 11 Essential Commodities including Gas have been reduced with effect from 20th of November through the Budget.However the Consumer Affairs Authority has received complaints from several consumers that the traders are still not yet implemented the new price reductions .
The Authority is requesting the consumers to inform on traders who are not implementing the said price reductions to either the number 1977 or to the Consumer Affairs Authority.
