The government has decided to set up a welfare center at Kilinochchi District in the Northern Province to assist thousands of widows who affected due to the three decade old war there.There are around 50,000 families in the Northern Province headed by women and these families are facing numerous difficulties when providing food,education and accommodation needs of their children the Prime Minister's Office has said.The new welfare center planning to set up will be called as the "National Center For the Upliftments Of The Household" and it will facilitate thousand of widows in the north who have lost their spouses during the war the Prime Minister's Office has said in a statement.
