Existing Fuel Quota Issues For Vehicles Increased

 To mark the Sinhala and Tamil new year festive season this month  government had decided to increase the  issuing of existing fuel quota to motorists from midnight last night(04).

Accordingly the existing fuel quota issues for Three whealers had increased to 08 liters per a week from 05 liters,04 liters issues for Motorcyclists increased p to 07 liters,20 liters issues for Vans and Motor cars to 30 liters and 40 liters issues for Buses to 60 liters from midnight last night the Ministry of Power and Energy has stated .

Laugfs Gas Prices Also Slashed

 Laugfs Gas Company has also slashed the Prices of It's Gas cylinders today (04)  coincided with the price reduction made by Litro Gas company on it's gas cylinders .

Accordingly The Laugfs Gas Company had reduced the price of it's  12.5 KG Gas Cylinder by Rs.1290 to Rs.3990 and 5 KG Cylinder by Rs.516 to Rs. 1596 .

Litro Gas Company Slashed LP Gas Prices

 The Litro Gas Company had announced the reduction of 12.5 KG Litro Gas Cylinder by Rs.1005 with effect from midnight tonight (04) based on the fixed price formula .

According to the Chairman of the Litro Gas Company Muditha Pieris the New price of the 12.5 KG Litro Gas Cylinder with the price reduction will be Rs.3738 and the price of the new price of the 5KG Litro Gas Cylinder will be Rs.1502 as the price of it to be reduced by Rs.402.The price of the 2.3 KG Litro Gas Cylinder will be reduced by Rs.183 to Rs.700 it has been announced ,

Riot Police Used Tear Gas To Disperse IUSF Protest Last Evening (03)

 Riot Police fired tear gas and water cannons  to disperse a Protest organized by the members of Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) demanding  solutions for few of their demands related to University affairs,near the Lipton circus in Townhall (Colombo District )last evening (03) .

Protesters demanding solutions for several demands including the  removal of class ban imposed over several University students by the authorities  .
