The Bus fare will be reduced by 12.9 percent with effect from midnight tomorrow(30)coincided with the price reduction of fuel according to the State minister of Transport Lasantha Alagiyawanna.
Accordingly the minimum Bus fare will be reduced to Rs.30 from Rs.39.
Government had reduced the prices of Petrol ,Diesel and Kerosene Oil with effect from midnight tonight (29) amidst the island wide trade union action launched by the employees attached to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).
Accordingly the Price of a Liter of Octane 92 Petrol will be reduced by Rs.60 ,A Liter of Octane-95 Petrol will be reduced by Rs.135 ,A liter of White Diesel will be reduced by Rs.80 and Super diesel liter by Rs.45 the CPC Had announced.A Liter of Kerosene Oil had also reduced by Rs,10
According to the new price reduction the new prices of Octane -92 petrol is Rs.340 ,A liter of Octane -95 Petrol is Rs.375.A Liter of White Diesel is Rs,325 and a liter of Super Diesel is Rs.465 /The Liter of Kerosene Oil is Rs.295 .
The report on the Eggs that were imported from India is scheduled to
be issued tomorrow(29) according to the Animal Production and Health
Department .
However the Department has not yet taken any
action to release the stock of 02 million eggs imported from India to
meet the egg shortage in the county ,from the Colombo harbor it has
been reported.
Meanwhile the Egg shortage that occurred in many super markets and shops prevails today as well .
