Sri Lanka Coastguard Officers Have Arrested 31 Local Fishermen While Fishing By Using Banned Fishing Nets
Sri Lankan Coastguard Officers have today(31) arrested 31 Sri Lankan Fishermen while fishing in Sri Lankan Sea near Baththalangunduwa Island by using banned fishing nets.
Along with the local fishermen the Coastguard Officers have arrested 8 boats,a stock of fishing nets and around 1572 Kilo Grammes of Fish according to sources.
The 31 detained local fishermen were handed over to the Kalpitiya Police for further investigations and later they have been released on police bail the sources said.

Sri Lanka Navy Have Arrested Nine Indian Fishermen Along With Their Boats When Entering Sri Lankan Territorial Waters
Sri Lanka Navy have arrested Nine Indian Fishermen and two boats they were travelling in early this morning when they were entering Sri Lankan Territorial Waters near Analativu Island according to sources.
The arrested fishermen arrived from Pudukkottai District in Tamil Nadu the sources have said.
Earlier Sri Lankan Government has released 102 detained Indian Fishermen as a goodwill gesture.\

Four Civilians Protested Violently In Front Of Homagama Magistrate Court Have Been Remanded
Four Civilians who were alleged as protested violently in front of Homagama Magistrate Court last week over the imprisonment of Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero have been arrested by the Police.
The four suspects have been remanded until 09th of February by Homagama Magistrate today (31) after they were produced before the court.

According to the order given by Homagama Magistrate to arrest those who were protested violently in front of the court last week including so many Buddhist Monks ,police have arrested four of the protesters.
