President Has Agreed To Allow Opposition MP'S To Decide Opposition Leader In Parliament-National Freedom Frint Leader
President Maithripala Sirisene had yesterday (31)agreed to allow the Opposition MP's in Parliament to appoint the most suitable candidate for the post of Opposition Leader according to the MP Elect National Freedom Front Leader Wimal Weerawansha.
During the meeting held at President's House in Colombo last morning between President Sirisene and leaders Of All Political Parties belonging to Opposition United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA) President Sirisene as the leader of UPFA agreed to give the chance of appointing opposition leader to opposition MP'S in the parliament per the request of UPFA Political Party Leaders Weerswansha has stressed.
Meanwhile the Central Committee of the main party belonging to UPFA ,The Sri Lanka Freedom Party(SLFP) has last week authorized the powers of appointing opposition leader post to president sirisene.

Innaugural Session Of The 08th Parliament Scheduled To Be Convened Tomorrow(01)
The inaugural session of the 08th parliament is scheduled to be convened tomorrow(01) at 9 a.m. with participation of 225 MP'S including 196 newly elected MP'S and 29 selected National List MP'S .
The first duty of the new parliament is to appoint a new speaker and a secret ballot is due to be held in this regard according to political sources. The governing United National Party(UNP) has nominated the name of it's deputy leader MP Karu Jayasuriya as party's candidate for the speaker's post and a nominee from Sri Lanka Freedom Party(SLFP) is scheduled to be elected as Deputy Speaker the sources have said.
After the electing of new speaker the newly elected MP'S are due to be sworn in before him.The rest of the Parliament's schedule for tomorrow will be included the electing of Deputy Speaker and deputy chairman of selection committee.
After the conclusion of the schedule the speaker is due to postpone the Parliamentary Session until evening and at 3 p.m President Maithripala Sirisene is due to make a special statement to the Parliament.

Three Died Due To The Lorry They Traveled In Had Fallen Into A Precipice At Kalutara
Three Persons died yesterday (29) night when the Lorry they traveled in had fallen into a Precipice in Pahala Naragala Area at Horana-Matugama Road(In Kalutara District) according to the Police.
The Three Persons including the Lorry Driver and Two Females succumbed to their injuries after admission to the Horana Hospital.
The Lorry which carried the deceased had veered off the road and fallen into the Precipice when the Lorry Driver had tried to prevent his vehicle
colliding with a Trishaw arrived from the opposite direction the Police have said.
The Police have arrested the Trishaw Driver in connection with the accident.
