Litro Gas Prices Increased Again

 The Litro Gas Sri Lanka had increased the prices of Liquid Petroleum (LP) Gas with effect from midnight today (05).

Accordingly the price of 12.5 KG LP Gas cylinder price has been increased by Rs.334 to Rs.4743,The Price of 5KG LP Gas cylinder has been increased by Rs.134 to Rs.1904 and the Price of 2.3 KG Gas cylinder has been increased by Rs.61 to Rs.883 the Litro Gas Company has announced ,

Human Rights Commisson Launched A Special Investigation On Firing Tear Gas To A Silent Protest

 The Human rights Commission of Sri Lanka had launched a special investigation over the firing of Tear gas and water cannons by Police officers towards the  silent protesters who held a Sathyagraha campaign in front of the Elphinstone Theater in Maradana (Colombo) last friday night(03).

The Sathyagraha campaign was held as a protest of celebrating  75 th National independence day with public expenses at a time the country is facing an economic crisis.

The report of the Prelimenary Investigations held in this regard due to be submitted to the heads of Commission tomorrow(06) it has been revealed .The investigators attached to the  Human rights commission had visited the scene both yesterday and the day before for the investigation   .

A Research Scientist Was Killed Due To A Motor Car Accident

 A 37 year old Research scientist attached to Nano Technical Company has died after the Motor car driven by him had collided with a Road barrier at Kumbuka,area in Gonapola (Western Province) it has been reported.

The deceased was on his way home at the time of the incident according to the  Police.Although the Air baloons of his Motor car had been operated  after the accident his neck had been  cut as a result of the plastic pieces released from the baloons .
