The Supreme Court on Thursday (12) ruled that the respondents named in the Fundamental Rights petitions for failing to prevent the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks, despite having credible information of an imment attack, had violated the Fundamental Rights of the petitioners.

Ministry Of Trade To Hand Over The Egg Importation Tender To Indina Suppliers
Ministry Of Trade ,Commerce and Food safety has decided to hand over the Egg Import tender to tow suppliers in India according to the Minister of Trade and Commerce Nalin Fernando .All the relevant documents regarding the tender had been submitted to the Health Ministry officials to get an approval for the importation process the Minister has stated ,
Meanwhile a higher officer in Agriculture sector had stated that approval will not be given to Import eggs from India and Pakistan due to the Bird flu spreading in Poultry farms in those countries .

Magistrate Ordered To Retain Two Suspects Arrested With Ice Narcotic
Puttalam Magistrate Court had ordered the Kalpitiya Police to retain the two Persons arrested whilst transporting 02 Kilo grammes of Ice narcotic at Kalpitiya,area for 72 hours to question .
The two suspects were arrested by the Police Anti narcotic bureau officials recently whilst transporting the stock of Ice narcotic worth around Rs.30 million by a Three whealer .
Opposition Parties Accused Govt.On Attempting To Delay Elections
Opposition parties have criticized the Gocernment on attempting to delay the holding of forthcoming local government elections by ordering District secretaries to not to accept Bonds from candidates running for the elections until further notice.
Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa as well as,the leader of National Democracy league Anura Kumara Dissanayake had slammed the government on attempting to delay the holding of local government elections theough the order issued by the Cabinet not to accept the Bonds from the candidates .
A letter issued by the secretary to the Mimistry of Public Administration and Home affairs had ordered the District secretaries to not to accept the Bonds from candidates .However the secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration has stated that the cabinet has instructed him to issue this order .
Meanwhile Elections Commissioner had advised the District secreraries to accept bonds from the candidates who are running for the forthcoming local government elections .

The Government pensioners had faced enormous difficulties due to the non paymemt of their Pensions in time this month according to sources.
The payment of Pensions getting delayed due to to the non issuance of funds to the Government banks by the Treassury .Government needs Rs.26 Billion monthly to pay pensions it has been revealed.Meanwhile the secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration had stated that the funds will be released to the Banks today(11)to pay the pensions .
