Postal Workers Launchhed An Island Wide Strike

 Postal workers had launched an Island wide strike from 4 p.m this evening (11) up to 12 in the midnight tomorrow (12) demanding solutions for unsolved demands of Postal workers according to  the Joint Postal Trade Union Front .

The strike has been launched demanding solutions for unsolved problems of the Postal workers  including  paying overtime allowance for a maximum of 240 over time (OT) hours   the Postal Trade Union front has stated ,

Meanwhile according to the Post Master General Ranjith Ariyaratne the leave of all postal workers have been cancelled in order to prevent any trade union action .All the Postal workers should have reported to work to maintain the Postal service without any interruption he had stressed.

A Youth Had Fallen From A Four Storied Building

 A 23 Year old youth has died after falling down from third storey of a newly constructed four storied building at Park road in Narahenpita (Colombo -05) today (11)  according to the Narahenpita Police .

The deceased was a resident of Dikwellahema in Hali-ela (Uva District ) and involved in construction work of the building it has been revealed .He was conducted a party for his colleagues in the third storey of the building and when he has attempted to climb down from the stair case he had fallen to the ground according to police .

The Post mortem of the deceased is scheduled to be held at Police Hospital in Narahenpita

President Ordered To Stop Transportation Of Beef And Mutton Following The Deaths Of Animals

As many Cattle and goat deaths have been reported from Northern and Eastern Parts of the country ,President Ranil Wikramsinghe has ordered the relevant authorities to stop  inter district and Inter provincial transportation of Beef and  Mutton with immediate effect .

According to the Ministry Of Agriculture and Livestock resources the number of Cattle and Goats died due to a mysterious reason in North and Eastern provinces during last few days has exceeded 1000.Another herd of Cattle and goats in North and East had fallen sick it has been reported,

The Ministry Of Agriculture has taken the samples from sick Cattle and Goats and sent them to Laboratories to check the mysterious cause behind the deaths .

A Person Was Killed -Two Injured Due To Motor Car-Three Wheeler Collision

 A Person was killed and two females were injured and hospitalized due to a Three wheeler -Motor car collision occurred at Colpetty area (Colombo District )  today (10).

Three persons including the Three wheeler driver and two females traveling in  the Motor Car had been injured and admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment where the Three wheeler driver had succumbed to his injuries on admission to the Hospital .

The incident occurred when the Motor Car traveling to Galle face had collided with a Three wheeler traveling  to the same area .The deceased Three wheeler driver was a 58 year old resident of Kahathuduwa area .The driver of the Motor car had fled away from the area after the incident and the Police is currently investigating to arrest him.
