Nine Suspects Were Arrested With 200 KG Of Heroin

 Nine persons had been arrested with 200 Kilo Grammes of Heroin in their procession during a joint raid carried out at Mirissa area in Weligama ,Matara last morning (13)according to the Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana .

The suspects were arrested after the haul of heroin brought to Mirissa area through a small boat during  a joint raid carried out by Police Anti Narcotic Bureau ,Sri Lanka Navy and Coastal guards .The haul of Heroin was packed in gas tanks and gunny bags it has been revealed .

Bakery Owners To Increase The Prices Of Bakery Products Due To The Fuel Price Hike

As a result of the Fuel price hike ,the prices of all Bakery products excluding Bread will be increased soon according to the All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association .

According to the Association some Bakery Owners have already increased the prices of their Bakery products .

Meanwhile Gas companies are demanding  the government to increase the price of. A Gas Cylinder by at least Ra.500 and Private bus owners have requested a  15 percent price hike of Bus fares as well as a result of the fuel price hike .

Cabinet sub committee appointed to iook into review the price of Gas is scheduled to meet today to decide whether to allow  a gas price hike .

2329 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (13)

 Another 2329.  Corona Positives had been reported In. the Country yesterday (13),Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 223,638 According to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

At the moment 32,955 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers .

1353 Persons Arrested Over Violating Quarantine Laws Yesterday (12)

 A total of 1353 persons had been arrested yesterday (12) over violating quarantine laws according to the Police ,This is the highest number of persons arrested in a single day over  violating quarantine laws so far. ,

So far 31,395 Corona positives had been arrested in the country over violating quarantine laws 

Another 2031 Corona Positives Had Recovered And Discharged Today (13)

 A total of 2031 Corona Positives had been recovered and discharged from hospitals today (13) according to the Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona Positives that had been recovered and discharged from hospitals and Quarantine Centers so far  had been increased to 186,516 the Unit has stated ,

2340 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (12)

 A Total of 2340 Corona Positives had been reported in the country yesterday (12) raising the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 221,277 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center ,

The majority of the Corona positives which was 561 had been reported in Gampha District and positives had been reported from all 25 districts according to the Center ,At the moment 32,625 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers ,
