A Cyclist Was Killed Due To A Road Accident

A 62 Year old Cyclist was killed after colliding with a Lorry at Marawila in Chilaw yesterday (01).The critically injured person had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Chilaw Base Hospital.

The incident occurred when the Cyclist colliding with a Lorry arrived in back side .The deceased was a resident of Chilaw area and Police have arrested the Lorry driver over the incident .

A Female Pedestrian Was Killed And Four Others Injured Due To A Road Accident

A 37 year old female pedestrian had killed and four others including her 05 year old daughter and the Motor Car driver had been injured and hospitalized   after colliding with a Motor car at Walakada junction ,Kolonna yesterday (01).

The injured had been admitted to the Kolonna Hospital for treatment .

The incident occurred when the Car driver was not able  to control the spead of the vehicle .

The deceased was identified as a resident of Walakada area .

A 14 Year Old Boy Has Died Due To A Fire Cracker Explosion

A 14 year old boy has died after

exploding a  fire cracker during a "Katina "Procession  of a Temple at Katana Police division yesterday (01).

The critically injured boy had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Negambo Base Hospital .

The incident occurred when the boy had attempted to light a fire cracker when the Katina procession parading in the street   at Atambagahawatte area,North Kadirana  in Katana .

However as the firecracker which he lit and thrown to the ground didnt explode the child was injured when the firecracker which  he checked  had suddenly exploded in front of him it has been revealed .
