Local Immigration And Emigration Officials Arrested And Expelled A Chinese Human Smuggler Arrived At Katunayake Airport

Control Unit of the Immigration and Emigration Department had arrested one of the leading  Chinese Human Smuggler 28 year old Wang Dong who had arrived at Katunayake International Airport last evening (01)from Abudhabi and expelled him back to Abudhabi .

The suspect who has involved in human smuggling activities through  popular "V Chat " social media group operating in China had arrived at Katunayake Airport from Etihad Flight and he was arrested by the Immigration and emigration officials after investigating on him .

The suspect had arrived in Sri Lanka to take a batch of Sri Lsnkan young females to China to use for human smuggling activities it has been revealed .

Through his account in 'V Chat " he appeares as a female and building relatuonships with females in south asian countries to be used for his purposes it has been revealed during investigations .

Immigration and Emigration officials had quickly send him back to Abudhabi from the flight he had arrived in it has been reported .

Nugegoda Flyover Bridge Closed Down For Renovation Work-Heavy Traffic Is Being Prevailed In The Area

The Nugegoda Flyover Bridge which was opened in January 2009 had been temporarily closed down from today (02) for a renovation work according to the Police .

Due to the closure a heavy traffic is being prevailed in the area at present it has been reported .

The 261 meters long and 8.5 meters wide flyover bridge had constructed within three and half month period .

Police have advised Motorists to use an alternative routes when travelling .

Two Young Children Were Killed And Their Mother Injured After Colliding With A Car Driven By 15 year Old Boy

A Mother had critically injured  and her son and daughter  of the ages 06 and 12 years were killed   after colliding with a Motor Car driven by a 15 year old Boy at Weeraketiya -Tangalle road today (02) according to the Weeraketiya Police .

The critically injured Mother and her two children had  admitted to the Weeraketiya Peripheral Hospital ,But they were later transferred to Tangalle Base Hospital where the  12 year old girl  had  succumbed to their injuries .

Afterwards both Mother and 06 year old son  had transferred to Matara General Hospital and the son  had succumbed to his  injuries there according to the Police .

The incident occurred when the Mother and her two children got off from a Bus and crossed over the road .

Weeraketiya Police have arrested the 15 year old Driver of the Motor Car and two others travelling in the Car over the incident .
