Chaminda Galaboda Allias "Utiya "Arrested Over Assaulting Two Little Monks
Horowpathana Police have today
(10)arrested Gammadde Chaminda Galaboda allias "Utiya "over brutally assaulting two little Monks in the area .
The arrest was made after Media and Social Media networks sharing a video showing the assault over two little Monks by the suspect. In that video suspect had assaulted the Monks charging them over a robbery .However the place and whereabouts of the Monks and the suspect have not revealed in the video.
Horowpathana Police have identified the suspect and arrested him it has been revealed.

Sports Minister Imposed A Temporary Ban On Thilanga Sumathipala To Prevent Him Involving In Cricket Administration Activities
Sports Minister Harin Fernando has today (10)imposed a temporary ban on
former Cricket Board Chairman MP Thilanga Sumathipla preventing him involving in Administration activities of Sri Lanka Cricket Board .
Sports Minister had imposed the ban on Former Sri Lanka Cricket chairman Thilanga Sumathipala accordance to the powers vested with him under the Sports Act .Minister has informed the Cricket Board on this through a letter.
Meanwhile Sports Minister has appointed a Three member committee headed by Sports Director General to probe on whether Former Cricket Board Chairman MP Sumathipala could participate the meetings of the Board withing a month period .

Prices Of A Liter Of Octane -92 Petrol And Super Diesel.To Be Reduced From Tonight (10)
Ministry of Finance has decided to reduce the price of a liter of
Octane -92 Petrol ,Octane -95 petrol and Super Diesel by Rs.1 and Rs.2 respectively with effect from midnight tonight (10).However the price of a liter of Auto Diesel will remain unchanged.
Accordingly the Price of a liter of Octane -92 Petrol will be reduced by Rs.1 and the price of a liter of Octane -95 Petrol and Super Diesel will be reduced by Rs.2 .
The Finance Ministry has earlier announced that the prices of a liter of Octane -92 and Octane -95 Petrol and Super Diesel will be reduced by Rs.2 each .
The price reduction will be implemented accordance to the price formula introduced by the Price Formula committe attached to MinistRy of Finance.
The prices of Fuel are subjected to be changed accordance to the prices of fuel in the world market on 10th of each month .

Around 60,000 Health Workers To Launch Four Hour Islanwide Strike
Around 60,000 Healt
h Workers belonging to 64 catagories in Government Hospitals Island Wide are scheduled to be withdrawn from their services from 8.A.m to 12 noon tomorrow (10)demanding solutions for 09 of their long standing service demands according to All Ceylon Health Services Union .
The striking workers will stage protests in front of 30 major government Hospitals including Colombo Natonal Hospital from 11 a.m to 12 noon tomorrow .
The Health workers including Minor staff and Attendants are demanding solutions for 09 of their service demands based on salary, promotions and Uniform allowance according to the Chief Secrerary of the union Mahinda Guruge .
For humanitarian reasons Health workers attached to five Hospitals imcluding Cancer Hospital Maharagama, De Soyza Maternity, Castle Street, Ridgway Children's and Peradeniya sirimawo Bandaranaike Teaching Hospitals will.not participate in the strike .
