Eight Sri Lankans Went To Austalia By A Boat Were Expelled To Sri Lanka


Australian government had expelled eight Sri Lankans who went to there  by a Boat from Sri Lanka and soon after they arriving today(25) at Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officers have arrested them for questioning it has been reported.

Image result for boat people went to australiaThe eight suspects have been released on surety bail of  Rs.100,000 each and Rs.10,000 cash bail each by the Minuwangoda Magistrate Court after been produced them before the court .The eight suspects have been ordered to appear before the court on 11th of September this year.

A 40 Year Old Indian National Has Died After Falling Down In A Toilet At Katunayake Airport

Image result for katunayake airportA 40 year old Indian National has died after admitting to the Negambo Base Hospital following a  fall inside the Toilet attached to Katunayake,Bandaranaike International Airport this morning(25).

The deceased Indian National had arrived in Katunayake Airport from Riyadh,Saudi Arabia and awaited for his transit flight to fly to India at the time of the incident it has been revealed.

The cause of the death has not yet been revealed.

Colombo-Kandy Main Road Was Temporarily Closed Due To A Student Protest

A Heavy traffic is being reported from Colombo-Kandy main road at present due to the temporary closure of the road in front of the Kelaniya University ,as a result of a protest launched by a group of  University students  this  noon (24).

The Colombo-Kandy Main road was closed in front of the Kelaniya University after the group of students attached to the University had protested blocking the road it has been revealed.

Police have requested the motorists to use an alternative roads due to this situation.
