today (15)to attend the Commonwealth Heads Of States Conference scheduled to be held in London,United Kingdom from 16 th to 20 th of April .

53 Commonwealth Heads Of States will be participated for this Conference under the theme "Towards Common Future".

Kala Oya Is Overflowing From.Eluwankulama Road

Due to the overflowing of Kala Oya (River)as a result of rising water level in oya,The old Eluwankulama road of Puttalam area is being submerged since this evening (15)bring to the halt all transport activities of the road.

The road is being submerged due to the heavy showers prevailing in the area during last few days it has been revealed.A bridge built across a road in crossway area had been submerged around two feet of water according to reports.

Due to this situation motorists have been using an alternative routes to travel.

An Indian National Was Arrested While Illegally Involved In Business

Modara Police have arrested a 52 year

old Indian National who arrived in Sri Lanka from Tourist visas and illegally involved in cloth selling business at Rajamalwatte,Modara area yesterday(14).

The suspect is due to be produced before the Hulftsdorf Magistrate Court.

All Five Spill Gates Of Udawalawe Reservoir Have Been Opened Due To The Rising Water Level

All the five spill gates of the Udawalawe Reservoir have been opened this morning(15) by releasing 6000 cubic feets of water per seconds to the walawe River due to the rising water levels of the Reservoir according to the Sri Lanka Mahaweli Authority.

Due to the opening of spill gates of Udawalawe Reservoir ,the Authority had requested the people living in low land areas of Walawe River and people in Ambalanthota area who use the water to be vigilant over possible floods.
