SLFP Divided Over The No Confidence Motion
Co -partner of the Good Governance Government Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has divided in to two factions regarding the voting of No confidence motion presented in the Parliament today against Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe it has been reported.
While
Minister A.H.M Fowzie of SLFP had this morning stated that the SLFP has
decided to abstain from voting on the no confidence motion State
Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeygunawardane has stated that the SLFP MP's met
at the residence of United Peoples Freedom Alliance General Secretary
Mahinda Amaraweera have decided to vote in favor of the motion.
Meanwhile
former President Mahinda Rajapakshe who is the leader of Joint
Opposition Group had arrived in Parliament to take part in the ongoing
no confidence motion debate .
Venerable Athuraliye Rathanasara Thero Who Had Earlier Decided To Vote In Favor Of The No Confidence Motion Later Changed His Mind
MP Venerable Athuraliye Rathanasara Thero who had earlier in the day had stated in Parliament during the debate on no confidence motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe that he cannot voted against the motion has said this evening that he will abstain from voting of the No confidence motion tonight(04).
This noon Venerable Thero had stated that he cannot oppose the facts included in the no confidence motion against Prime Minister.
The debate on the no confidence motion submitted against the Prime Minister signed by Joint Opposition Group MP's had began this morning at Parliament and Joint Opposition MP Dinesh Gunawardane had presented the motion to the Parliament.
The vote on the motion scheduled to be held at 9.30 p.m tonight after the ongoing debate.
Several Government and Opposition MP's had expressed their views at the debate and the leftist Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna(JVP) has decided to vote in favor of the No confidence motion it has been revealed.

A Tractor Driver Was Killed Due To A Tractor-Lorry Collision
A 46 year old Tractor driver was killed after the Tractor he had driven colliding with a Lorry at Galewela on Dambulla-Kurunagala main road .
The accident occurred when the Lorry traveling from Polonnaruwa to Colombo attempting to overtake a Tractor traveling from Galewela to Pothuhara area.The deceased was a resident of Galewela area.
Galewela Police have arrested the Lorry driver and he is due to be produced before the Dambulla Magistrate Court today(04).

Two Judicial Officers Were Sentenced Four Year Imprisonment Over Accepting A Bribe From A Person
Colombo High Court has today(04) sentenced a clerk and Registrar attached to Ampara District Court a four year jail term over accepting Rs.4500 as a bribe from a person to issue a copy of a court order released by the District Court.
The Colombo High Court Judge Vikum Kaluarachchi had also imposed fines of Rs.6000 and Rs.3000 on the Registrar and Clerk respectively over the charges leveled against them.
Both the suspects were charged over accepting the bribe from a person on 17th of July 2009.Bribery commission had arrested them and filed a case against them in the High Court.
