Two Persons Were Killed And Two Others Were Injured Due To A Three Wheeler -Van Collision

Image result for ACCIDENTTwo persons were killed and another Two were critically injured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were traveling in colliding with a Van at Pahalawelgama area on Bulathsinghale-Mathugama road .

The four critically injured persons were admitted to  the Bulathsinghale Hospital for treatment soon after the Injury where two of them including the  Three Wheeler Driver had succumbed to their injuries on admission.

The deceased were identified as 31 and 41 year old persons resided in Mahagama area.Bulathsinghale Police have arrested the Van Driver regarding the incident.

A Stock Of LTTE Made Explosives Including Four Hand Grenades Had Defused In Mulliwaikkal Area

The Bomb Disposal  Unit of the Special Police Task Force had defused the four  LTTE made  hand grenades and a stock of other Explosives recovered from  several places at Mulliwaikkal area in Mulathivu yesterday(06) according to Mulathivu Police.

The Stock of Explosives including the four Hand Grenades made by LTTE were recovered after the residents of resettled areas in Mulliwaikkal had informed on them to the Mulathivu Police.

The stock of explosives had defused as per a court order received from Mulathivu Magistrate Court.

Two Persons Were Arrested While Transporting 37 Pieces Of Gold In A Boat.

Sri Lanka Navy have arrested two persons while illegally transporting 37 Gold Pieces weighing 3.7 Kilo Grammes (100 grammes each)of Gold in a Dinghi Boat at Jaffna-Kankasanthurai sea area alst evening(06).

The estimated value of the Pieces of Gold taken into custody along with the suspects is more than  Rs.20 million according to the Navy. 

The suspects were identified as residents of Madagal,Jaffna.

The Navy officials had handed over the two suspects ,The stock of Gold and the Dinghy Board  to the Sri Lanka Customs in Jaffna for future course of action.

Final Report Of Presidential Commission Inquire In To The Meethotamulle Garbage Mount Was Handed Over To The President

The final report of the Special Presidential Commission inquire in to the damage done due to the Collapsing of Meethotamulle Garbage Mount in April 2017 was handed over to the President Maithripala Sirisena today(06).

The Three member Commission headed by the retired Court Of Appeal Judge Dr.Chandrasiri Nanayakkara had handed over the commission report to the President at Presidential House in Colombo.

The Commission report has suggested   short and  long term  policies on disposing the garbage in Meethotamulle Garbage Mount.
