An Indian Ship Carrying Essential Commodities For Displaced Persons Arrived In Colombo Harbor
Indian government has sent this Ship as per a request made by Sri Lankan Government .
Another ship carrying essential commodities and medical aid is due to arrive Colombo tomorrow(28).
Meanwhile Indian Prime Minister Narendra Singh Modi has expressed his sympathies to the families of Sri Lankan flood and landslide victims through a Twitter message.
Landslide Warnings Issued To Eight Districts
Accordingly the landslide warnings had been issued to Ratnapura Galle, Matara ,Kegalle ,Hambanthota,Kandy ,Nuwara Elliya and Kalutara Districts.
People in these Districts are advised to be in vigilant regarding landslide signs such as falling of trees,posts and cracking of building and houses.
Transport Between Galanigama And Dodangama Of Southern Expressway Disrupted Due To The Floods

A section of the Southern Expressway between Galanigama and Dodangama is being submerged and the water level there is increasing according to the reports.
Authorities have advised the drivers of light vehicles arriving from Matarra to use welipanna inter exchange to exit due to this situation.
Due to the floods the Road Development Authority has imposed restrictions for motorists when departing through several exit points of the Southern Expressway.
Earlier authorities had requested the motorists to control the speed of their vehicles due to the submerged areas of the Southern Expressway.
A Risk Of The Breaking Of Bunts Build To Prevent Flooding In Galle And Matara-Irrigation Department
Due to this situation residents in and around the area have been evacuated the Department has stressed.
Although there's a decrease in rainfall the flood threat in and around Kelani,and Nilwala rivers still remains the authorities have said.
Death Toll Due To The Adverse Weather Increased To 113-Another 113 Missing -Disaster Management Center
The death toll due to the adverse weather condition in 14 districts now arisen to 113 and another 113 went missing according to the Disaster Management Center(DMC).
More than 400,000 persons have been displaced due to the landslides and floods the Center has stated.
The flood threat in Colombo has been decreased as the water level in Kelani River not increased as expected due to the low rain fall received yesterday(26) and today(27) .
However the flood and landslide threats in Galle,Matara ,Ratnapura and most of the upcountry areas had increased according to the authorities.
The Ging.Kalu and Nilwala Rivers are overflowing in several areas and as a result flood threat may have increased in areas Thawalama,Hiniduma and Baddegama it has been announced.
Even through the disruptions the rescue and relief operations continues in the affected areas the Government has stated.
Meanwhile although hotlines have been introduced to the public to inform on any emergency situation occurred due to the adverse weather some people stranded in affected areas not received substantial support even they have informed the situation to the hotlines it has been revealed.
