A Sixty Year Old Female Was Killed And Four Others Injured Due To An Accident At Haldummulla

A sixty year old female was killed and four others of her family were injured and hospitalized following the Car  they were traveling in fallen a 300 foot deep precipice near the Kadireshan Falls at Haldummulla(Upcountry) area today(27) it has been reported.

The injured were admitted to the Diyathalawa Hospital for treatment.The passengers in the car were on the way to Bandarawela from Kaluthara at the time of the accident.

A Person Was Arrested With 2100 Mili Grammes Of Heroin

Minuwangoda Police have today(27) arrested a 32 year old person who distributed Narcotic Drugs through a Bicycle with 2100 mili grammes of Heroin at Minuwangoda(Colombo).

The suspect has been identified as a resident of Wagowwa in Minuwangoda area.

Former Prime Minister Rathnasiri Wikramanayake Passed Away

The former Prime Minister and  Kaluthara District Parliamentarien of United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA)Rathnasiri Wikramanayake passed away short while ago at the age of 83 while recieving tretament at a Private Hospital in Narahenpita(Colombo).

He was appointed as Prime Minister of  four  previous UPFA Governments in 2000,2001,2005 and in 2010 by  the Former Presidents Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumarathunge and Mahinda Rajapaskshe.

Late Rathnasiri Wikramanayake was born on  05th of May 1933 and held several Ministerial Portfolios during previous Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) led governments.

Three Persons Including A Lady Doctor Were Killed Due To A Container Truck-Cab Collision

Three Persons including a Lady Doctor were killed and  One Person was  injured and hospitalized following a Container Truck-Cab collision occured near Boo Oya Bridge On A-9 Road in wee hours today(27).

The 30 year old injured who is a resident of Dehiwala (In Colombo) has been admitted to Vavuniya Hospital for treatment.Out of the three persons killed in the accident  one was identified as a Dr.M.D A Sudeshika (32) according to reports.

Police have arrested the Driver of the Container Truck regarding the accident and he is due to be produced before the Vavuniya Court today.

Two Persons Were Killed Due To A Three Wheeler-Motor Car Collision At Maharagama

A Three Wheeler Driver and a Passenger  in a Three Wheeler were killed following a Three Wheeler-Motor Car collision occurred last night(26) near Dharmasoka Collage at Maharagama(In Colombo) according to the Police.

The critically injured Three Wheeler Driver and the Passenger were succumbed to their injuries after admission to South Colombo(Kalubowila) Teaching Hospital Police have stated.

The accicent has occurred when the Three Wheeler travelling from Maharagama to Kottawa area collided with a Motor Car travelling in the opposite direction from Kottawa to Maharagama after Three Wheeler Driver loosing  control of the vehicle .
